Quingy AI (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Quingy AI platform at quingy.ai. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you use our service. By accessing or using Quingy AI, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

• Account information: Your full name and email address when you register.
• Search queries: The natural-language tasks and descriptions you enter to receive tool recommendations.
• Tool interactions: Tools you click, favorite, save to stacks, or add to workflows.
• Payment information: Billing details processed and stored securely by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
• Usage data: Search counts, feature usage, session timestamps, and IP address (for abuse prevention and rate limiting).
• Device and browser data: Browser type, operating system, and referrer URL collected via analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Quingy AI recommendation engine
• Personalize results based on your past searches and saved tools
• Process payments and manage your subscription via Stripe
• Enforce usage limits and prevent abuse (free tier: 5 searches/day)
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing receipts)
• Analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve our AI recommendations
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your search queries to train third-party AI models beyond what is necessary to fulfill each request.

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party services to operate Quingy AI:

• Anthropic / Claude: Your search queries are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate AI-powered tool recommendations. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy.
• Supabase: We use Supabase for user authentication, database storage, and real-time services. Data is stored in Supabase-managed infrastructure. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• Stripe: All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. Your payment information is transmitted directly to Stripe and is subject to their Privacy Policy.
• Analytics: We use a privacy-respecting analytics provider to measure aggregate usage. No personally identifiable data is shared with our analytics provider.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use the following types of cookies and similar technologies:

• Session cookies: Required for authentication and maintaining your logged-in state. These expire when you close your browser.
• Preference cookies: Store your consent choice and UI preferences (e.g., accepted cookie banner). Persist for 12 months.
• Analytics cookies: Collect aggregate data on how users navigate the site. Used only after you grant consent.

You can withdraw cookie consent at any time by clearing your browser's cookies and local storage. Note that disabling session cookies will prevent you from logging in.

5. Data Retention

• Account data (name, email) is retained while your account is active.
• Search history and saved content are retained until you delete them or close your account.
• Usage logs (search counts, access timestamps) are retained for up to 12 months.
• Payment records are retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations (typically 7 years).
• On account deletion, your personal data is purged within 30 days. Anonymized aggregate analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Export: Download your data at any time from Settings → Export Data.
• Deletion: Delete your account and associated data from Settings → Delete Account, or by emailing support@quingy.ai.
• Correction: Update your name and email from Settings.
• Objection: Object to processing for analytics purposes by contacting us.

7. GDPR Compliance (EU Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the following applies to you under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Legal basis for processing: We process your data under (a) contractual necessity — to provide the service you signed up for; (b) legitimate interest — to improve our service and prevent abuse; and (c) your consent — for analytics cookies and marketing communications.
• Right to erasure: You may request deletion of all your personal data at any time. We will fulfill erasure requests within 30 days.
• Data portability: You may request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.
• Supervisory authority: You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
• Data transfers: Data may be processed outside the EEA (in particular, by Supabase and Anthropic, which are US-based). We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

8. CCPA Compliance (California Users)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants you the following rights:

• Right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used.
• Right to delete personal information we have collected from you.
• Right to opt out of the sale of personal information. (Note: we do not sell personal information.)
• Right to non-discrimination for exercising your CCPA rights.

9. Children's Privacy

Quingy AI is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at support@quingy.ai and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Your continued use of Quingy AI after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
